Privacy policy
Valid from 4 November 2026.
In short
- The site works without an account. Most of what you set stays only in your browser.
- We store only what is needed for links, matches and your account to work.
- Your profile, results and upcoming matches are visible only to logged-in players. Nobody sees your e-mail or photo.
- No advertising, no tracking cookies. We never sell or share your data.
- You can delete your account at any time with one button. Played results stay, so they remain fair for everyone.
Without an account
Your name for your friend, favourite venues, the offers you send, your home for sorting by distance and your settings stay only in your browser.
When you send an offer, our server stores the selected times, the sender's name and what your friend did with the link (opened it, picked a time, booked), so the link works and you can see the status. We delete offers after 60 days, except played matches with a recorded result between two accounts (they belong to the results history, see Fair results).
What anyone with the link sees: the times, the sender's name, whether the offer was cancelled and the recorded match result. If the sender has an account, also their results card (win percentage, number of matches and form from the last 5 matches recorded between two accounts). Your friend's account name is only visible to the two of you.
Distance from your location
If you sort by distance from your current location or from a home saved as a location, the browser rounds the coordinates to about 100 m and sends them to our server. If road distance is switched on, the server passes these rounded coordinates to Google Maps Platform (Routes API) and keeps the result (rounded coordinates and km) so it doesn't have to ask again. Otherwise we estimate the distance from the nearest district. Distance from the city centre or from a chosen district is calculated in advance and sends nothing.
With an account
Logging in is optional. It is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google), which confirms who you are. From your Google account or e-mail we receive your e-mail address, name and profile picture.
On our server we store: e-mail, name, profile picture link, login method, your settings (news, being found by name) and the data you would otherwise have only in your browser: favourite venues, sent and received offers, saved partners, your name for your friend and your home (a district, or a location rounded to about 100 m). We also store the results of matches recorded between two accounts and which achievements you have earned (to show what share of players has each one). The purpose is to have everything on all your devices and to show matches and your player profile. The legal basis is providing the service you asked for; news only with your consent.
Finding players and profiles
Logged-in players can find each other by name. Other logged-in players see your name and your player profile built only from matches recorded between two accounts: results (date, venue, score and the opponent's name), win percentage, form, sets and games, earned achievements (only the name and date) and your matches with them. They also see your upcoming arranged matches: date, time, venue and the other player's name. Players who are not logged in see nothing. Other players can save you as a partner and send you times straight into the app. You can turn off being found by name in Settings (Other players can find me by name); people who already saved you keep you.
Upcoming matches arranged through Dáme set are visible on your profile just like results: other logged-in players see the date, time, venue and the other player's name.
Fair results
Results of matches between two accounts are the shared history of both players and the basis of statistics (and later a ranking). So that nobody can simply delete a loss:
- Whoever entered the result can correct or delete it for 24 hours (typos). After that it is locked and changes only if the opponent accepts a correction.
- A match with a recorded result can no longer be cancelled.
- If you delete your account, we delete your name, e-mail, photo and all other data, but the results of played matches stay with your opponents, shown there without your name. To give them back to you if you log in again with the same e-mail, we keep only an irreversible fingerprint of the e-mail instead of the address.
The legal basis is the legitimate interest of other players and ours in complete and fair results.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications (logged-in players only), your browser gives our server an address for sending notifications to this device and its keys. We store them with your account and only send notifications about your own matches (a friend sent you times, picked a time, booked, cancelled or added a result), never advertising. They are delivered by your browser's push service (Google for Chrome and Android, Apple for iPhone and Safari, Mozilla for Firefox); it only sees encrypted content. You can turn them off in Settings at any time; logging out turns them off on that device and deleting your account deletes them.
Corrections and messages
When you suggest a correction or write to us as a venue, we store the text, the name and contact you fill in, the e-mail and name of your account if you are logged in, and your IP address (to protect against abuse). We use it only to deal with your message. A notification with this content reaches our phone through the ntfy.sh service.
Statistics and cookies
We measure visits with Umami running on our own server. It uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. It records the page, where you came from, the type of device and browser, the language and an estimated country; it uses the IP address only for that estimate and doesn't store it. It never receives names or message texts.
The only cookie is ds_session, which keeps you logged in (180 days). It is strictly necessary, so no consent banner is needed.
Who else processes data
- Google (Firebase Authentication): login, only if you log in.
- Google (Google Maps Platform, Routes API): road distance from rounded coordinates, only if road distance is switched on and you sort by your location.
- ntfy.sh: the notification about a correction or a venue message.
- WEDOS Internet, a.s., Czech Republic: our server and its backups.
Everything else stays on our server in the Czech Republic.
How long
Account data until you delete the account. Results of played matches between two accounts and the e-mail fingerprint of a deleted account permanently (see Fair results). Login 180 days. Other offers 60 days. Corrections and messages (including the IP address) at most 12 months. Server backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data disappears from them within 14 days at the latest.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw consent to news at any time in Settings. Delete account in Settings immediately removes the account and its data from our server and from Firebase, except results of played matches (see Fair results). Offers that were already sent stay valid until they expire (60 days) so the links don't break for your friends. If you disagree with how we keep results, write to us and we will look at it. You can also complain to the Czech data protection authority (ÚOOÚ, uoou.gov.cz).

The controller of personal data is the operator of Dáme set (dameset.cz): Marek Karaba, company ID (IČO) 09964789, registered address Ondrouškova 844/9, Bystrc, 635 00 Brno. Contact: info@dameset.cz.
